It is with great sadness and regret that the management and employees of Ranger Construction and equipment vendor PaveSmart mourn the loss of two fellow workers, killed by a vehicle that veered into a properly marked road construction zone.
The tragedy claimed the lives of Jesus Resendiz-Banales, an Asphalt Laborer with Ranger Central, and Steven Dunn, owner of PaveSmart, who was providing product support. A third worker, Ranger Paving Foreman Clint Tally, was injured. The driverwas arrested on DUI manslaughter and other charges.
Jesus was hired by Ranger in March 2009. He quickly proved his worth as a valuable member of the paving crew. He was well-liked by fellow workers for his strong work ethic and willingness to pitch in to get the job done.
The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the Vecellio Group, Ranger Construction and PaveSmart go out to the family and friends of Jesus and Steven, who both will be sincerely missed, and to Clint for his speedy recovery.
