Third generation contractor Leo A. Vecellio, Jr. has been elected to a three-year term on the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) Board of Directors.
Mr. Vecellio also was recently elected to serve on the Construction Association of West Virginia (CAWV) Board.
Mr. Vecellio is President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Vecellio Group, a 62-year-old family of heavy/highway construction firms that consistently ranks in the top half of Engineering News-Record’s Top 400 Contractors.
Among the Group’s interests are Vecellio Contracting Corp., which operates West Palm Beach-based Ranger Construction Industries, Inc., a major roadbuilding and asphalt contractor with five locations serving eastern and central Florida.
The Vecellio Group also includes Pompano Beach-based PAVEX Corporation; Miami-based White Rock Quarries; and the group’s founding company, West Virginia-based Vecellio & Grogan, Inc.
Vecellio & Grogan was begun in 1938 by Mr. Vecellio’s father, the late Leo A. Vecellio, Sr., his grandfather, Enrico Vecellio, and an uncle, Gene Grogan.
