Florida’s summer rains put the squeeze on many job schedules, but resourceful management techniques at Ranger Construction kept progress flowing on work with the most critical deadlines.
One example is in Indiantown, FL, where severe weather held up site development for new facilities at Louis Dreyfus Citrus S.A., a major orange juice processing plant. To make up for delays and increase daily production, Ranger added a subcontractor, Royal Palm Development.
The concentrated effort paid off. Two finish grading crews — and a bit of sunshine — put the project back on schedule. Ranger expects to finish the juice plant’s critical areas this fall, while the remaining site work is scheduled for completion after January 2006.
