Project Details

Project Name: I-75 Express Segment C
Project Location: Broward County, Florida
Project Value: $85.27 Million
Project Owner: FDOT
Project Scope:

Ranger Construction has been awarded an $85.27 million design-build contract to add variable-toll express lanes to a section of I-75 in Broward County. Ranger has partnered with design firm Wantman Group and bridge contractor Cone & Graham.

Ranger’s contract covers Segment C, a 3.6-mile section from south of Miramar Parkway to about halfway between Pines Boulevard and Sheridan Street. It is one of five segments that together will add 15 miles of managed toll lanes, two lanes in each direction, built within I-75’s existing median and extending from I-595 south into Miami-Dade County, with designated ingress and egress points along the way.

A similar 13-mile project in Miami-Dade County will connect I-75 Express to Palmetto Express (SR-826), extending the toll lanes south past the Dolphin Expressway (SR-836) near Miami International Airport. FDOT Districts 4 and 6 are working collaboratively on the projects.

Project Start: Est. Mid-2014
Project Completion: 930 Days
