Ranger Golf has begun work on Canyon Trails Golf Club, a turn-key golf course construction project in Sunland, California, just north of Burbank. Canyon Trails is a high-end, 18-hole public golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus Design.
In selecting Ranger as the builder, course owner Cosmo World Golf acknowledged not only the competitive bid, but also the impressive portfolio of high-quality golf course construction projects Ranger Golf has successfully completed over the years.
Ranger is scheduled to finish the daily-fee course by next August, making the course ready for play by next November.
Ranger also has been selected to build an additional nine holes at The Quarry, one of the most exclusive golf courses in southern California. Tom Fazio Design drafted the nine-hole expansion, which will give the course a total of 27 holes, for three different combinations of 18-hole play.
The Quarry, managed by Winchester Development, is located just south of Palm Springs in La Quinta. The work is scheduled to be finished by next April.
In other Golf news, Ranger is making good progress on Silver Creek, an 18-hole golf course being built in San Jose, CA. In Henderson, Nevada, crews are remodeling two golf courses, Anthem Country Club and Revere Country Club, for Del Web Corporation/Troon Golf.
