Ranger Leads Team On $25.85 Million Design-Build Job

Ranger Construction is partnering with Horizon Engineering Group and Leware Construction on a $25.85 million design-build contract to upgrade the I-4 (SR-400) interchange at SR-46 in Seminole County, FL.

The FDOT considered each submitting team’s design approach, project management plan and lump sum bid, among other factors, and awarded the project to Team Ranger based on the final point total. Work is due for completion in January 2013.

In Martin County, Ranger is performing roadway work for prime contractor Archer-Western on an Indian Street Bridge improvement project. Scope of work includes excavation, embankment, drainage, subgrade, road base, sidewalk, curbs, milling and all asphalt paving, per Ranger’s $7 million subcontract.

Another Ranger project, picked up earlier this year under a $3.9 million FDOT contract, involves milling and resurfacing a section of SR-808 (Glades Rd.) in Palm Beach County. The project includes widening to provide bike lanes, pedestrian upgrades necessary for ADA compliance, the addition of sidewalks, signage, signalization and more. The contract allows 443 days for project completion.
