Ranger North Is Awarded Major FDOT Contracts

Ranger North has been doing a great job securing new FDOT contracts, with several large projectsawarded recently.

Ranger has been selected for improvements to a four-lane, 2.75-mile section of US-27 in Clermont, FL. The $25.5 million, 800-day contract calls for widening the roadway to six lanes and includes replacing four spans.

Another road-widening project was awarded in Lake County. Ranger will widen 3.5 miles of US-27 just north of Polk County from four to six lanes under a $21 million, 650-day contract.  The project involves significant excavation and drainage work, as well.

In other new work, Ranger Central was awarded a $3 million contract to mill and resurface a segment of SR-714. The 160-day contract includes signalization, drainage improvements and curb and sidewalk improvements, commencing in May 2006.

Ranger Central was also selected to make improvements on SR-500 under an 80-day contract beginning in January 2006.

Indian River County has contracted with Ranger to provide drainage improvements and roadway reconstruction on 41st Street in Vero Beach, FL.  The contract is for $7.9 million, with an anticipated start date of November 2005.
