Ranger has a number of major road projects underway in South Florida.
In Miami-Dade County, the South Division is making $6 million in improvements on the north end of NW 72nd Avenue. Crews are rebuilding the intersection at South River Drive and adding a bridge to extend the roadway across the Okeechobee Canal, adding a connector between the cities of Hialeah and Medley. Project completion is scheduled for mid-2010.
The division is also improving a three-mile section of SR-845/Powerline Road, milling and resurfacing all lanes from the Broward County line north to Glades Road in Palm Beach County. The FDOT contract, valued at $11.9 million, includes bridge rehabilitation, drainage work, signalization, striping and more.
Crews recently completed another project on Powerline Road, reconstruction of a two-mile section in Broward County under a $5.1 million state contract.
