Ranger Construction has been awarded the subcontract to mill and resurface I-4 from SR-528 to SR-535 in Orange County. The team for the design/build project consists of Jones Brothers, HNTB and Ranger. Ranger will have 400 days, starting in October, to complete its work, which will be performed at night.
In another project expected to start in October, Ranger will be completely reconstructing and realigning 1.2 miles of SR-44 extending from I-4 in the DeLand area. The 270-day project involves temporary detours, retention ponds, drainage and new roadway construction.
A smaller SR-44 job, starting in September, involves milling and resurfacing two miles east of I-95 in New Smyrna Beach. Ranger has 60 calendar days to complete the project, which will involve night work, as well.
